Aluminium

Low maintenance and compact robots are used in order to enable quick loading of aluminium billets. No additional disassembly works are required while change of recipient. The loading gripper operates without any moving parts and is extremely safe during operation.
The robot flexibility enables simple ejection of billets while tool breakage, and practical positioning for nitride application.

A fully automated log rack with length up to 8,000 mm and a height of 4 m.
The rack may also be heated in order to heat up the logs. Automatic readouts of log data and connection to a master system are possible at any time.

Scrap reduction thanks to the use of an automatic scrap rack with robots and a welding system.
Scrapped parts are stored temporarily and used on request, welded with a matching, cut element. In the case of many alloys, this enables the scrap to be reduced to zero.

A fully automated production line for production of battery basins. The profiles are unstacked, cut, measured, processed, marked and stacked, prepared for the dispatch.

For a well-known car manufacturer, battery trays for one of the most modern electric cars in the world are produced on this fully automated production line.

The various profile cross-sections are stacked in special pallets designed by SPS and are managed by a fully automated crane. The sawing line is also fed via this crane and a sophisticated conveyor system in which the empty pallets, including the necessary spacers, are automatically transported back to the extrusion press.

The profiles are sawn in layers and then checked for dimensional and shape accuracy 100% automatically. To ensure seamless quality assurance and tracking, all profiles are marked with a code by means of laser marking.

In the following process, the profiles are welded into a plate and machined.
